I Want You To Panic.
This poster is an exercise in information design created for my Graphic Design I class.
I am extremely passionate about the climate crisis that our world is facing, and my goal in creating this poster is to educate and spread awareness of the threats our communities face due to the ongoing climate crisis.

Ideation
I knew going into the creation of this infographic that I wanted to use this quote from climate activist Greta Thunberg, “I want you to panic,” as my title. Not only is it eye-catching, but it poses the question, “What about?” which then piques interest of viewers who wish to read on.
Treating this exercise in information aesthetics as an exercise in persuasive writing and design was another goal of mine, because I don’t just want to showcase the facts; I want to tell you why you should care.

Style Guide
I chose a legible, common typeface so as not to futher complicate an already complicated subject. It’s my opinion that information should be easily digestible and not hindered by the design of the type or layout.
Colors represent the urgency of the climate crisis and bring the different parts of the infographic together to work cohesively as a whole.
